The idea began when her son Atrey was just three months old. What started as a quiet thought during early motherhood soon grew into a clear vision—to build something of her own, grounded in creativity and meaning.

With the unconditional support of her husband, Aj, she found the strength to take that vision forward.

Determined to shape it with purpose, she pursued formal education in fashion design when Atrey was one and a half, balancing learning with motherhood over the next two years.

Soon after completing her course, she launched VASTREYMAITRI bringing her vision to life through designs that blend traditional techniques with modern sensibilities.

The name itself carries her story—Vastra (clothing), Atrey, and Maitri—woven together into an identity that is both personal and purposeful.

Today, VASTREYMAITRI stands for refined simplicity, thoughtful detailing, and a sense of quiet strength. Each piece reflects a balance of heritage and modernity, designed to feel timeless and close to the wearer.
